Six Nations Triple Crown to Wales. / La Triple Corona para Gales.

English language at the bottom of this post.

that gets the team that defeat the other three Anglo-Saxons teams in the Six Nations Championship, (Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales). Until 2006 the trophy was invisible because there was not a material trophy that deliver winning. In 2006 the main sponsor of the competition, the Royal Bank of Scotland, commissioned a trophy awarded to the winners of the Triple Crown, a silver dish.
This year Wales just won at Twickenham 19-12, and got his 20th Triple Crown. At the time it has managed to get closer to the Grand Slam (victory over the other five rivals), which will be played, predictably, on March 17 in Cardiff against France, the other unbeaten team.

In tribute to Wales, I publish a photo of the Triple Crown Trophy and a image from the coaster that Guinness www.guinness.com edited representing Wales for the Six Nations, ad avideo about the match.

Bechigue, born from rugby and for rugbiers (part two).

(English language at the bottom of this post).

Searching on internet I discovered another beermat, different than the coasters of the Bechigue about I wrote on March 8, 2011  http://posavasosderugby.blogspot.com/2011/03/bechigue-its-born-from-rugby-and-for.html  Bechigue  http://www.bechigue.com/accueil.html  is a beer with a fine history: takes its name from a regional word used in the southwestern part of France. The word doesn´t appear in the dictionary, but is the name of the rugby ball in the environments of BiarritzBayonne, Pau and Toulouse.
It is a blond beer of low fermentation, with 5.6 % alcohol. Made with Belgian barley, hops and Alsatian malta. A perfect beer for the third half.

The Calcutta Cup

English language at the bottom of this post.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calcutta_Cup From 1872, on Christmas day, was played in Calcutta a rugby match between 20 English players and 20 representing Scotland, Ireland and Wales. The game was so successful that it was repeated a week later. Because of those parties, the Calcutta Football Club was founded in January 1873. When the club disappeared, its members picks out of the bank money from the club in rupees of silver, which produced a cup that should be play annually.
The Cup is of Indian labour, with 45 cm of height. The body is finely engraved with three real cobras forming the handles. The top of the dome is topped by an elephant. The inscription on the Cup wood base reads as follows: THE CALCUTTA CUP. Additional plaques which record the date of each game played with the winning country name and the names of the two captains have joined to the base.
Currently her compete annually for the Calcutta Cup Scotland and England as part of the Six Nations.
The original trophy is very damaged and does not travel to the celebration of the trophy. When England won the Calcutta Cup the original is exhibited in the Museum of Rugby at Twickenham.
This year has won England, at Edinburgh, a victory based in a bad play from Scotland , not for a good play from England.
In tribute to England and Scotland, keepers of the Calcutta Cup, I publish a photo of the Calcutta Cup; the coasters that Guinness www.guinness.com edited representing these two teams for the Six Nations and, in addition, a video with images of the 2012 Edition.
